Found this recipe on Facebook today, and had all of the ingredients to make it . This marinade was yummy, and easy to make. The original recipe advised to marinate the steak for 8 hours but we did not have time for that as I planned to make it tonight. I marinate the steak for about 2 hours and felt that it was very flavorful. Definitely give this recipe a try, this recipe also comes from one of my favorite recipe blogs called Plain Chicken.

I got the idea for these potatoes yesterday when we were camping with my parents. My mom made some potatoes and just used any of the vegetables that she had with her in the potatoes. Which then inspired these Dump Potatoes that I made with our yummy steaks for dinner tonight. You really can do anything with these potatoes, today I added potatoes, zucchini, on onions. Then I seasoned them up, and fried them. They were so tasty this will definitely be a recipe that will become a staple recipe in our house.
Inspired by: My Mom
5 Potatoes (Diced)
1 Onion (Sliced)
1 Zucchini (Sliced)
1 Pepperoncini (Finely Diced)
1 tsp Minced Garlic
Dice up the potatoes, onion, zucchini, pepperoncini place in fry pan. Now add in the minced garlic, olive oil, seasoning salt, garlic salt, pepper. (I did not measure the seasonings I just seasoned the mixture to taste.) Fry up the mixture on medium to high heat, I cooked them for awhile with a cover on to allow the veggies to steam and then fried them up for the last 5-10 minutes to give make them crispy. Serve and enjoy!
Since being pregnant I have found that I lost my desire for steak. I thought that would go away after I had the baby, but not so much I am still not fond of steak. So, I have been looking for yummy chicken marinades and have found a couple of them that are delicious. The one that I am sharing with everyone today is called 7-up Chicken and it was yummy! I marinaded the chicken for about 8 hours and it was full of flavor when we ate it. I served the chicken with Rice Pilaf and Broccoli which was delish with the chicken. This chicken was super easy to make and very good my hubby ate the second piece I made for his lunch that night cause he liked it so much.

What a crazy few months that we have had as a family. I have been on bed rest for quite sometime before and after our bundle of joy’s arrival due to complications with the pregnancy, but all is finally starting to settle down with me, and with him. We welcomed our son into the world on 7/2/13, and it has been quite the whirl wind, but worth all of it. When he was born he had premature lungs, and some blood sugar issues. He spent the 1st week and 1/2 in the NICU getting some great care to get him healthy and ready to join his family at home. We are so happy to have him home, he has a great big sister that loves to help out, and is such a great baby.
In the last week or so I have finally been able to get back into the kitchen and start cooking again which has been awesome. Not only do I love to cook, but there is nothing like having a home cooked meal. It’s funny too because I feel like my food almost taste better than it did before. I look forward to getting back into a rhythm and blogging again. Thank you to everyone who reads my blog, and tries out the recipes, I have so many more to share with you.
Our grocery store had redskin potatoes on sale this past week so I picked some up to make some side dishes with. I love roasted redskin potatoes, but with the dinner that I was making mashed potatoes were going to be better with it. I experimented with the mashed potatoes and came up with these Parmesan Garlic Mashed Potatoes. They were amazing I could have kept going back up for more. They were very creamy and full of flavor and would pair well with any chicken, or steak dinner. Give these a try they are amazing I can’t wait to make them again.

Now on to the recipe for Ham & Cheese Scrambled Eggs… My hubby has never really been a big fan of eggs until this past weekend. We were camping with my parents and my mom made scrambled eggs. My hubby loved them and also commented that my mom was better at making scrambled eggs than me. So I found out my moms secret and re-created them at home. My hubby loved them just as much as the ones my mom made, so I have now mastered making delicious scrambled eggs. Give these scrambled eggs a try they are amazing. Read more →
Sorry for the lack of recipes the last few days, it has been a rough week for my family, between my pregnancy, and a major surgery that my dad had to get. Now everything is starting to settle down now and I have couple of yummy recipes to share with everyone soon.
One of them is my favorite marinade for grilled chicken, such great favors that taste so good together.
You can also look forward to many more recipes for the grill as the weather is getting nicer, and my hubby is helping more with the meals as we get closer to the due date of our little man.
Thank you for following along and I can’t wait to share more of family recipes that are delish.
Baked potatoes are one of my favorite side dishes, and when I found that they could be cooked in the crockpot I was excited to try them. I then decide to try making them one of my favorite ways by sprinkling with Garlic Salt and Pepper. My hubby now wants me to try making them with Montreal Steak Seasoning the next time which will also taste good. The potatoes turned out amazing, and I love that they taste like they were made in the oven. They are so simple to make and they taste so good. If you have not yet made baked potatoes in the crockpot definitely give them a try they are so good.

My husband and I have a pasta salad that we get at our local grocery store that we love. Today I went looking for a recipe that would be similar to what we get there, cause I love being able to make things at home. I altered the ingredients a bit more to our tastes as the salad that we purchase generally comes with cherry tomatoes in it, but we are not big fans of tomatoes. I then also added in salami, cause salami is delish and we had it in the house. This pasta salad is great for grill outs or potlucks. Definitely give it a try it was so creamy and yummy.

My favorite spring/summer dessert. Lately when I had been buying strawberries the quality of them was not that great felt like I was throwing away more then I was able to cut up. This time though I got 3 cartons of strawberries and each carton was a really good batch, so we enjoyed some strawberry shortcakes with dinner lats night. This recipe is very simple, and instead of using shortcakes I like to use biscuits. I got the idea of biscuits from a friend. We went there for dinner and she had the option to have either a shortcake or a biscuit. Ever since then I have always made them using biscuits. I prefer the flaky layers kind but any biscuit will work. Yummy, can’t wait to have another one with dinner tonight. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do they are so tasty and simple.
